For an outstanding multinational client, we are looking for an Accounting Generalist

Main Purpose:

The person in this position is primarily responsible for manage the day-to-day accounting and office functions of the Uruguay production site. This includes office management and various accounting duties- primarily cost accounting, general ledger, accounts payable and accounts receivable; while performing these functions with effective policies, procedures, and internal controls.  Additional duties include process order review, and plant operations support. Manages the Fixed Asset System and safeguards the company’s assets.

We are looking for Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field  with a solid academic background and experience in the cost accounting field of at least 4-5 years. It is essential to have a high level of verbal and written communication in English, as well as strong analytics skills,  good communication, be able to work independently and detail oriented.

Must have knowledge of ERP oriented accounting systems, SAP preferred and advanced computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supports company operations by maintaining accounting and office systems.
• Product cost accounting, and production variance analysis. Ability to analyze costs and explain possible variations.
• Accounts payable function management, coordination with Brazil/U.S.
• Plan, organize and direct all the activities of the cost accounting function; including month-end closing processes to related to cost accounting (SAP, journal entries, and reconciliations).

Working hours: Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (hybrid modality once the position has been learned)
